Always With A Smile

Making the world a happier place has never been so much fun!

Mudnificent 7… Back in the Mud!

After more than 2 years away from the obstacle race scene, Always With A Smile returned at Mudnificent 7 to put the smile back into OCR!

Always With A Smile has had a long association with obstacle course racing and the mud run scene… and the foundations attitude has always been one of fun and laughter, rather than ‘competition’.

However, the foundations presence at such events over the last couple of years has been extremely limited (mainly due to injury and illness), but on Saturday August 17th 2019, Always With A Smile returned to get dirty at one of the key obstacle course race events in the UK… Mudnificent 7!

Mudnificent 7 is a unique OCR (obstacle course racing) event and summer festival. Runners get to experience an amazing course which is split into 7 zones, with each zone specifically designed by one of seven different OCR event companies. In 2019, the OCR event companies involved were RAWfit, the Michael Smith Trust, Zombie Evacuation Race, Splat Quack Go, Go Feral, Muddy Furlong, Hero Challenge & Spartan Race (yes, that’s 8… there was a bonus zone this year!).

The event is the brainchild of Obstacle Race Magazine, and the 2019 spectacle was its fifth installment… and, as in previous years, the event was a sell out!

Team AWAS consisted of foundation stalwarts Brian Gumbley, Matt Stewart, Alex Higginson and Emma Borrett… as well as AWAS founder Joel Hicks.

Images from the event were supplied free-of-charge by the team at Epic Action Imagery.
