The annual World Water Bombing Championships are held at Ponds Forge leisure centre in Sheffield. Scores of people turn out in fancy dress to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support, cheered on by a 400 plus strong crowd. Each team member has to bomb into the pool for glory and points. As competitors leap from a 3m high diving board, they are awarded points for style as well as the biggest and widest splash which is measured on a giant splash'o'meter! In 2011 I competed as a naughty Head Teacher, with three young ladies as pupils... the crowd certainly got more than they bargained for!
