This episode of the new David Dickinson Show was aired on 20th May 2010 on ITV to promote the World Custard Pie Championships, which was held the following Saturday in Coxheath, near Maidstone in Kent. As a regular competitor at the championships, I was asked by the organisers to stand in a set of stocks while David and guests took it in turns to try out their best throwing action! The custard used in the pies is made using a secret recipe, which gives the custard its distinctive consistency!
